amazon-signEver wonder if a product you’re about to buy is any good? If you like to live on the edge, you can always purchase it and find out for yourself, or alternatively you can read reviews to get a better idea of what you will be buying before deciding if this is the product for you. Given that online purchases don’t let you sample before buying, reviews are important.

Or to be more specific, genuine reviews are important, which is why Amazon appears to continuing their quest in taking fake reviewers to court. Amazon actually took their first fake reviewer to court last April, but it looks like the company is not slowing down in their crusade. Like we said, reviews are everything which is why Amazon is taking this threat so seriously.

The company’s latest lawsuit sees them sue California resident Jane John-Nwankwo who apparently owns the company PaidBookReviews.org. According to the company, they will read your book (or sample pages) before posting a verified or unverified positive review for a small fee. In addition to John-Nwankwo, Amazon’s latest lawsuit will also see them sue New York resident Chris Embry who owns AmazonVerifiedReviews.com.

According to an Amazon spokeswoman, “We will continue to pursue legal action against the root cause of reviews abuse — the sellers and manufacturers who create the demand for fraudulent reviews. as well as the ecosystem of individuals and organizations who supply fraudulent reviews.”
