xiaomi mi maxAs it stands, the iPhone 6s Plus’ 5.5-inch display is criticized by some as being too big for one-handed use. We have to admit that while the larger screen does make for better video viewing, web surfing, and game playing, it does from time to time make it hard to use when you only have one hand free.

Now if you thought that 5.5-inches was unwieldy, Xiaomi has recently launched the Xiaomi Mi Max in China, an Android smartphone that is packing a massive 6.44-inch display. Now Xiaomi isn’t the first company to the market with such a huge screen, although given that there aren’t too many manufacturers who have opted for this size, we have to wonder why Xiaomi went down this road.

However if large displays are your thing, then the Mi Max could be what the doctor ordered. In addition to its massive screen, the phone will also be packing a Full HD display, and under the hood you will find a Snapdragon 650 chipset, which when combined with the resolution makes this phone something of a mid-ranger.

However it will come in three variants: one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, and will go up to 4GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone along with a 16MP rear-facing camera, and support for a microSD card. The phone will also feature a whopping 4,850mAh battery which should last you quite a while. Unfortunately there is no word on whether the phone will be making its debut outside of China.
