The world of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is rich, vast, and old. There are many stories to choose from which is why it isn’t surprising to see several video games have been made based on some of the stories from the D&D universe. The good news is that if you’re a D&D fan, you’ll be pleased to learn that the Neverwinter MMO will be making its way to the PS4.

For those unfamiliar, Neverwinter is an MMO based on the D&D universe and was originally released for the PC back in 2013. It eventually made its way to the Xbox One in 2015, so we guess a release on the PS4 makes sense. Developed by Cryptic Studios (the developers behind City of Heroes/Villains), Neverwinter is a free-to-play MMO.

This means that you won’t have to pay to get your hands on the actual game itself. However there will be microtransactions but whether or not you think you’ll need to make any remains to be seen, and we guess it also depends on your style of playing (some players prefer grinding it out, while others prefer taking the shorter route).

The game will come with all 8 classes available to players, along with all of the expansions that have been released since then. No word on when Neverwinter for the PS4 will be officially released, but it has been set for the summer so we guess gamers can look forward to playing it in the next few months.
