If you’re in the market for a very tough and rugged tablet then Panasonic has got you covered. It has already released multiple iterations of the Toughpad FZ-G1 and has today announced the fourth-generation FZ-G1. The new model brings better performance and communication capabilities as well as enhanced battery life coupled with Windows 10 Pro OS.

Panasonic’s new rugged tablet is powered by an Intel Core i5-6300U vPro processor, 3 MB cache, 2.4 GHz up to 3.0 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost, with improved graphics performance being contributed by Intel HD Graphics 520 graphics processor.

It also features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display, an 8 megapixel rear camera, Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 WLAN and Version 4.1 Class 1 Bluetooth with up to 14 hours of battery life. An optional larger battery can provide up to 28 hours of backup for those who really need it.

The tablet comes with a waterproof IP55 digitizer pen or stylus which can easily be used even in the rain. The tablet has flexible configuration ports mean it can be used to view HD documents and images in the field.

Panasonic says that the Toughpad FZ-G1 has proven to be popular among a wide range of industries including retail and manufacturing, as well as organizations that have large workforces in the field.

The fourth generation Toughpad FZ-G1 is going to be available for purchase starting next month for £1,700.
