Samsung Gear IconX Wireless Smart Earbuds

samsung-gear-icon-x_04The rumor mill was very active the past few days, around Samsung’s new wearable devices, that includes the long awaited Gear Fit 2 that features a curved Super AMOLED display. Following the trend in wearable, Samsung is launching the Gear IconX, smart tiny wireless earbuds, a type of device that may bring more value to the fitness enthusiasts than a display-less connected band.

The Gear IconX provides all the useful data you need while running or working out, such as distance, speed, duration, heart rate and calories burned. As a matter of fact, we know that monitoring heart rate from the ear is more accurate than from the wrist, so, since the majority of people listen to music while working out,  connected earphones feel much more relevant to sport activities than a band.

We all remember the surprising and tremendous success of the Kickstarter campaign  for the Dash, which rose over $3.3 million in February 2014!

According to Samsung the internal storage allows to saving up to 1000 Mp3s to get a standalone music experience. Additionally, the Voice Guide feature provides real-time feedback on the user’s workout progress. Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, you will be able to connect with your Android Smartphone.

One size does not fit all, so Samsung provides three different sizes of eartips and wingtips, to make the experience really comfortable.

Gear IconX will be available in white, blue, and black, at the beginning of Q3 2016 for $199 a pair. It is interesting to notice that it is more expensive than the Gear Fit2 even if ti features a Super AMOLED display!
