Earlier today we reported that Titanfall 2’s beta could be kicking off this weekend, and sure enough the folks at Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that the beta will be running over the course of two weekends. This means that gamers can participate in the beta starting this Friday, and it will end on the 21st of August, Sunday.

The next beta will begin the week after on the 26th of August, which is next Friday, and will also end on the 28th of August, Sunday. This means that during the week, you won’t be able to play the beta. We’re not sure why they did not just run the beta for the entire week, but we guess maybe they want some downtime to fix and bugs and issues ahead of the game’s release.

We should note that the beta is only for those on the Xbox One and PS4, as per Respawn’s previous announcement. The reason behind skipping the PC beta is because, “Our wonderfully curious PC players have proven in the past that they will dig out anything they can, and there’s a risk that they could spoil some of our single player.”

Gamers interested in taking part can head on over to Titanfall’s website for the details. In the meantime the game will be released across all platforms come 28th of October, and hopefully without any beta testing for the PC, the PC launch will be smooth.
