So we know that HTC has a new phone in the works because last month, the company posted a teaser video on its Twitter account. While they did not dive into specifics, it is widely believed that the handset in question is none other than the HTC Desire 10, although there are rumors that there could be more than one variant in the works.

That being said, it looks like HTC is back with a new teaser, and this time as you can see in the short video clip embedded above, it seems that HTC is hinting that its upcoming smartphone will sport a fingerprint sensor and it could be embedded on the back of the phone. Given how biometric security features are now more or less a standard feature on phones, we guess it’s not surprising that HTC has chosen to include it.

The video also gives us a little preview of the silhouette of the phone, but unfortunately it doesn’t really tell us much. We have seen a leaked render of the HTC Desire 10 and this video does corroborate some features, such as the fingerprint sensor’s placement on the back and middle portion of the phone, with the camera being moved to the upper left hand corner.

In any case all should be revealed come 20th of September as per HTC’s invite, so remember to check back with us again for the details.
