2K Games will release the latest title in the Mafia franchise next month and they have now confirmed that a mobile game will also be released at the same time. The mobile version of this game is called Mafia 3: Rivals and its iOS and Android release date has now been confirmed. Those who want the full experience will want to get Mafia 3 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 7th.

Mafia 3 is the first new addition to this franchise in years so naturally, fans of the franchise have been anxiously waiting for it to arrive. The mobile version adds an entirely new dimension to the experience.

2K Games has confirmed that Rivals is based in the same settings as the main game – New Bordeaux – but that players will play it from an entirely different perspective. Even though all of the locations, characters, and events are the same as the console version the mobile version plays more like an RPG.

Players will take on rival gangs in battle RPG combat. They will be able to recruit and train 40 crime bosses from the Mafia 3 universe to join their crew and eliminate any foes that get in their way.

Those who are interested in Mafia 3: Rivals can pre-register on the game’s website, they will get unspecified “in-game bonuses” for doing so. The game itself will be released on the same day that Mafia 3 is released for all platforms. Mafia 3: Rivals is going to be released for iOS and Android on October 7th.
