Halloween is coming up which means that not only can we expect restaurants and cafes to start getting into the swing of things, but we can also expect websites and also apps to start getting more Halloween-y. For Pokemon GO gamers, if you haven’t already noticed, the folks at Niantic have given the app a Halloween-themed update.

According to Niantic’s announcement, “It’s Halloween season and we have a treat for you! From October 26th to November 1st, you’ll earn double the amount of Candy every time you catch, hatch and transfer Pokémon! Don’t forget your Buddy Pokémon, because they will help you earn Candy four times as fast.”

They also add, “During this period, every Pokémon caught will earn Trainers six Candies — twice the normal amount. The professor will also give Trainers two Candies instead of one for every Pokémon transferred to him. In addition, Buddy Pokémon will award four candies instead of the usual one. Pokémon Candies enable Trainers to evolve or strengthen their Pokémon, so players will want to walk and catch all the Pokémon they can to get their fill of Candy during this special event.”

If you’re looking for a way to help boost the number of candies you can earn in the game, you’ll want to take part in this event while it is live. Gamers will have pretty much a week to do all of that, so if you haven’t played in a while, it sounds like now might be a good time to get back into it.
