SPUD Is A 24-inch Display That Can Fit In Your Bag

If you travel a lot, chances are you rely on a laptop to do your work, which safe to say can sometimes feel a bit cramped especially if you’re used to larger displays at home. So if you’re in need for a larger display, why not bring one with you? You’re probably thinking we’re a little nuts suggesting it, but the SPUD Kickstarter project would suggest otherwise.

Dubbed the Spontaneous Pop-up Display (SPUD), this is essentially a 24-inch display that can be collapsed and stuffed into your bag. This means that when the moment calls for it, you can always unfold it and have a 24-inch display at your disposal, although admittedly there are some downsides to it.

According to its creators, “When expanded, SPUD uses custom optics combined with the latest DLP technology to produce the sharp, bright image that you need. Either with an HDMI cable or wireless adapter, SPUD can be connected to a smartphone, tablet, or laptop – no matter where you are!” However like we said, there are some downsides. One of those is that its resolution is maxed out at 720p.

Secondly while its creators claim that it is light, unfolded it does get a bit bulky so you’ll want to make sure you have ample room. However if there is one thing we have to admit, it is pretty convenient and it is a pretty good idea, so if you think this project warrants your money, then head on over to its Kickstarter to pledge your support.
