Superscreen Transforms Your Smartphone Into A Tablet

Our smartphone screens have increased over the years, although in recent years, we all seem to be hovering around 5-6 inch mark, which seems to be a happy middle. However compared to a TV, desktop monitor, or even a tablet, that’s still a pretty small screen to be watching movies on, especially for long periods of time.

However if you’d rather not go out and buy yourself a tablet, then you might be interested in a Kickstarter campaign for a device called the Superscreen. Basically what this does is that it can take your smartphone’s display and supersizes it to a 10.1-inch “tablet” for your viewing pleasure. It will sport a 2K resolution and connects to your phone via a secure and private connection, which means that you don’t need to worry about cables and whatnot.

Now in a way it is like a tablet as the Superscreen does come with hardware specs of its own. We’re talking about a 2GHz quad-core processor, 4GB of RAM, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, a 6,000mAh battery, and a pair of speakers. Basically what’s missing from it is an operating system, which we guess in a way is provided by your mobile device.

The best part is that it is also considerably cheaper than most tablets out there at a price of $99. However note that this is the price of its early bird special on Kickstarter, where if you miss out on it you might be looking at paying $299 upon its release. If you’d like to pledge your support, head on over to Kickstarter for the details.
