There aren’t a lot of Samsung tablets out there that have been updated to Android 7.0 Nougat as yet. If you want one you have to pick up the new Galaxy Tab S3. Samsung has been rolling out the said update to its smartphones for the past few weeks and it’s now giving its tablets some attention. The Galaxy Tab S2 Nougat release is now taking place in select markets across the globe.

Samsung is now rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for last year’s flagship tablet, both the 8.0 and 9.7 inch models, in a handful of markets. It will obviously take a considerable amount of time before the update goes live for all users everywhere.

Android 7.0 is the latest version of the Android OS. It comes with several new features including but not limited to a new multi-window feature, a tweaked user interface, performance and power usage improvements, and much more.

The over-the-air update released by Samsung for the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is now being rolled out in Italy and Germany. It’s only a matter of time before the update makes it to additional markets across Europe.

However, it’s going to take longer for those who have LTE variants of the Galaxy Tab S2 as mobile carriers tend to hold up major updates for more than a few weeks.
