Politicians these days are definitely trying to appeal to the youth. For example last month it was revealed that a politician from Sweden streams Hearthstone games regularly on Twitch in a bid to reach out to a younger audience. This is why it doesn’t come as a surprise that a South Korean presidential candidate is using StarCraft to try and appeal to the youth.

South Korean presidential candidate Moon Jae-in has recently published two maps for StarCraft: Brood Wars, both of which have apparently been made by him. The maps appear to be pretty simple and straightforward, but we guess the highlight is how his name is spelt out using the minerals.

We’re not sure if Moon is really passionate about StarCraft or if he’s just pandering to his audience, but we guess we’ll have to give him props for his efforts. We guess the fact that StarCraft is something of a cultural phenomenon in South Korea probably helps, although we wish he would have released something for StarCraft 2 instead.

That being said if you are interested in checking out Moon’s maps, we should remind you guys that the original StarCraft and Brood Wars expansion are free for download, so go ahead and check it out if you’re curious about how his maps play.
