Apple’s Siri Speaker To Be A High-End Audio Device

It has been rumored for several months now that Apple is working on a new connected device that’s going to be similar in many ways to the Amazon Echo, however, Apple’s device will have the power of Siri. We recently heard more information about this unreleased device and if an analyst’s predictions are believed, Apple’s Siri speaker is going to be a premium device that provides high-end audio performance.

Apple’s new product is said to have the same computing power as a recent iPhone. It’s also said to feature “excellent acoustics.” Given that it’s likely going to be a premium product, it may cost a bit more than the Amazon Echo.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is of the view that there’s a good chance that Apple might launch this device at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2017 next month before actually releasing it in the second half of 2017.

The analyst also predicts that the device is going to feature one woofer and seven tweeters for a high-end audio experience. It may be powered by a custom ARM processor that will be equal in power at least to the A8 processor in the iPhone 6.

While no images of the device have been leaked online, it’s believed to be similar in appearance to the Mac Pro, with a cylindrical design and concave top. Apple has confirmed nothing about this product right now and we can’t expect it to until such time as it’s ready to unveil it.
