Unlocked LG G6 Now Available In The U.S.

Carriers have been selling the LG G6 in the United States for a couple of months now. What about those customers who want to buy this handset but don’t want to be tied to a carrier? They have been waiting for the official unlocked variant to arrive and they’ll be happy to find out now that the unlocked LG G6 is now available for purchase in the United States.

Even though LG’s own online store mentions that customers can now place a pre-order for the official unlocked LG G6 variant, it can actually be purchased right away from several retailers in the United States.

The unlocked LG G6 is going to work on any carrier in the country. It’s also not going to have any of the bloatware that carriers love to install on devices that they sell. So even though customers will be paying full price for the smartphone, they’d have a lot more flexibility with the device.

The North American unlocked LG G6 bears model number LGUS997 and has support for all bands that are required for the handset to function on both CDMA and GSM networks. All other specs remain the same so there’s no difference between this variant and the one being sold by carriers.

The unlocked LG G6 can be purchased in the United States for $599 from retailers like B&H and Amazon. LG is taking pre-orders for it on its own website.
