Back in March, the folks at Bungie confirmed that they were working on Destiny 2 and that the game will be released later this year. This means that if you were looking forward to trying out the game ahead of its release, it means participating in its beta whose dates we still don’t know yet, but that should be revealed next week.

Activision has confirmed in a press release that they will be sharing the dates for Destiny 2’s beta at E3 2017 which will be kicking off next week. Prior to this, Activision and Bungie did confirm that there would be a beta taking place, but a date was not mentioned and only a summer timeframe was announced, so we guess next week should provide additional specifics.

Take note that this will be the open beta for the game, meaning that anyone can participate even if you did not pre-order it. However for those who did pre-order the game, you will actually be able to gain early access to the beta ahead of everyone else, so we guess there will be a bit of an advantage.

Destiny 2 has been set for a release on the 8th of September later this year. It will also be the first title in the Destiny franchise to be released on the PC, although its PC release date is currently set for after the console launch.
