HTC is expected to launch a slightly improved version of its U11 flagship smartphone in a couple of weeks. There have already been many rumors about the HTC U11 Plus, it’s said to be the bezel-less version of the flagship that HTC released earlier this year. According to a new rumor, the HTC U11 Plus is going to tout a 4,000mAh battery.

Previous reports have suggested that the HTC U11 is going to have a 6 inch bezel-less display with Quad HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The existing handset has a 5.5 inch display with large bezels at the top and bottom.

HTC ROM developer LlabTooFeR, who is usually right about his predictions, revealed on Twitter that the HTC U11 Plus is going to get an upgrade in the battery department. The new handset is reportedly going to have a 4,000mAh battery.

It’s also said that the physical size of the device will be comparable to the U11 with some minor increase in the dimensions. That’s to be expected if the display size is being increased slightly.

HTC has sent out invites for an event on November 2nd in Taipei, Taiwan. It’s expected that the company will officially launch the HTC U11 Plus at this event.
