Tidal Releases Official Apple TV And Android TV Apps

Tidal, the Jay-Z backed music streaming service that reportedly has six months of cash left, today released official apps for Apple TV and Android TV. Its subscribers will now be able to access the hi-fidelity music streaming service via the biggest screen in their home. The apps will enable subscribers to access the entire music library as well as Tidal’s collection of video content.

Tidal was launched several years ago with a unique proposition. It offered audiophile grade music at a price point that was greater than what its rivals charge. It also offers a tier that’s priced competitively, but the hi-fidelity option has been its unique selling point.

A recent report claimed that its unique selling point was causing troubles for the company. It was claimed that Tidal only has six months of working capital left. It would be unable to run its operations if the company doesn’t raise money.

However, Tidal was quick to refute the report, saying that it “experienced negative stories” since its launch and that it has done “nothing but grow the business each year.”

Tidal is moving forward with the launch of its official Apple TV and Android TV apps. The apps will let subscribers access the entire music library and video content which include livestreams, concerts, and music videos.

The app has been released today so Apple TV and Android TV owners can get their hands on it right away.
