The OnePlus 5T is no slouch and according to some speed tests that we’ve seen, it has proven that it has more than what it takes to hold its own. Now it appears that OnePlus is doing their own speed test video which we have to say is hardly scientific or accurate, but it is pretty damn hilarious.

Basically in the video a bunch of cacti are being flung at two people, one of whom is testing the Galaxy Note 8, and the other testing the OnePlus 5T. The first person to successfully launch 20 everyday apps gets to leave this tortuous setup, and unsurprisingly it looks like the OnePlus 5T user was the first to finish.

Given that this is a OnePlus ad, it doesn’t really come as a shock that they “won”, but like we said it’s not exactly the most scientifically accurate way of measuring a smartphone’s speed, but it does have some entertainment value. It should also be noted that the OnePlus 5T and the Note 8 both use the Snapdragon 845 chipset (the Note 8 also has an Exynos variant, but we’re not sure which version is used in this particular video).

This means that in theory both phones should perform as well as each other, barring any software tweaks that might otherwise further optimize either handset.
