Sonos Audible Support Is Finally Here

Audible is a widely used audiobook service that for some odd reason wasn’t supported on Sonos but that’s finally changing today. The company has confirmed today that Sonos audible support is finally here. This means that users with Sonos smart speakers will now be able to listen to audiobooks from Audible. For those who don’t know, Audible is an audiobook service owned by Amazon.

Sonos Audible support means that users can now utilize their Sonos speakers and multi-room audio systems to listen to audiobooks. This enables them to listen to audiobooks without having to carry around a mobile device or wear headphones in the house by simply playing the audio over the Sonos speakers.

In a bid to get more people to sign up for its service, Audible is offering new users 2 free credits and a 30 day trial. Normally it offers just one free credit with the trial so this is a much better promotion compared to what it usually offers.

Audible will also give away a free copy of Miles: The Autobiography by Miles Davis. It will be pre-loaded when they sign up for a 30-day trial through the Sonos app. This means that new subscribers will essentially get three audiobooks for free. That’s not a bad deal at all.

Update: Sonos PR team has reached out to us and confirmed that Sonos is actively working to bring Audible to its speakers but the feature isn’t available just yet. The blog post by the company confirming its launch was published by mistake.
