Apple released the first macOS Mojave public beta build late last month and it’s now seeding the second beta build of its upcoming macOS update to public beta testers. The company’s public beta testing group can now download the second beta of macOS Mojave and it’s similar to the third developer beta that the company released for developers earlier this week.

Mac users who have signed up for Apple’s beta testing program will now be able to download macOS Mojave beta 2 through the Software Update feature in the Mac App Store.

It’s just like downloading any conventional software update on the Mac once you’re registered on the beta program. Once they’re signed up and on their first beta build, subsequent builds are downloaded through the Software Update icon in System Preferences.

Mac users who want to try out the beta build will first have to sign up to participate if they haven’t already. They can do that through the beta testing website which provides access to the beta once the user signs up. It’s recommended that beta testers make a full Time Machine backup before installing the beta build as these versions can be buggy and unstable.

Apple will continue seeing additional beta builds for macOS Mojave in the coming months before finally releasing Mojave to the public later this year.
