According to recently leaked specs, it was suggested that the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 could be packing a 4,200mAh battery. The specific size has yet to be confirmed, but in the meantime Huawei has confirmed that the phone will indeed be packing its largest battery in their smartphone lineup to date.

This is according to a report published on Pocket-lint in which they receive a teaser for the upcoming Mate 20’s announcement. As you can see in the photo above, the teaser seems to be talking about the battery of the company’s phones over the years in which the company is alluding that they’ve been steadily increasing the battery size over the years.

Then there is also a cutout at the bottom which we can only assume is for the Mate 20/Mate 20 Pro which has the largest cutout compared to the other phones. Assuming we’re understanding this right, Huawei is suggesting that the phone could be packing a larger battery, and the 4,200mAh we had previously heard sounds about right.

Note that Huawei is rumored to launch a Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, and that the 4,200mAh battery was rumored for the Mate 20. It is unclear if this means that the Mate 20 Pro will also feature a battery of the same size or if it could be bigger, but either way we’ll have to wait for the official announcement to find out.
