Just last week Blizzard released a new animated short under its new Warbringers series for Jaina Proudmoore, a member of the Alliance from the Warcraft universe. If you’re interested in learning more about some of the characters from Warcraft, then you might be interested to learn that a new Warbringers animated short has been released, this time for Sylvanas Windrunner.
For those unfamiliar, Sylvanas is the current leader of the Horde and also the leader for the Forsake faction. She used to be an Alliance character before Arthas, the Lich King, turned her into a banshee. This animated short is actually rather well done and captures her emotions perfectly when she was turned.
It also shows the attack on Teldrassil, the name of the World Tree that also plays home to the Night Elves. According to the animated short’s description, “In war, nothing is certain. In just one moment, a single action can determine victory or defeat. For Sylvanas Windrunner, warchief of the Horde, war has led her to many such moments—including one that will change the course of history on Azeroth.”
These animated shorts are presumably to help provide players with some backstory leading up to the launch of the Battle for Azeroth expansion which is currently scheduled for a release on the 14th of August.
