Sometimes double tapping a photo is a good way to let someone know you’ve seen their post and liked it. However if you wanted to do more, you could always leave a comment. While dropping comments aren’t that difficult, Instagram has made it a lot quicker and easier by introducing emoji shortcuts.
Basically this is a row of emojis placed above your keyboard in which you can just press it to quickly add an emoji to your message. This can be useful for users who want to reply to comments, like thanking them, or it could be a way for users to drop a comment to let the other person know how they feel using emojis. After all they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

This will save users time from having to launch emojis on their keyboards and sift through them trying to find the right one. Granted the shortcuts don’t contain every emoji, but from what we can tell they are meant to give users access to your most-used emojis, so this will vary from person to person. The feature should already be live for both iOS and Android users, so make sure you have the latest version of Instagram if you want to check it out.
