Google introduced a new hotel search experience for smartphones earlier this year. It simplified price filtering, made amenity information easier to find, and added the ability to book hotels right from Google. The company today announced that it’s bringing this improved hotel search experience to the desktop as well.

It’s about time that Google brought this updated experience to the desktop given that the search engine is often the first place that people visit when they’re planning a trip. Be it for search flight fares or looking at hotels, they look at the options that Google presents them before making up their mind.

Google says that travelers love interacting with the new mobile features so it has now decided to bring the same modern look and feel for the hotel search experience to the desktop as well.

Users can now browse hotel results with photos from the hotel or other travelers, access additional information such as the hotel’s neighborhood and location, and see reviews about the property from across the web by using keywords such as “air conditioning.”

The new hotel search experience is available for Google users on desktop starting today. Just go and search for “hotels in Honolulu,” for experience, to check it out.
