Retailers look forward to the holiday season every year as there’s a surge in sales during this period. Soon after Target announced that it would be dropping its minimum purchase requirement for free shipping ahead of the holiday season, Amazon is now following suit. The online retail giant announced today that customers will now be able to get free shipping regardless of the order amount for a limited time.

Starting November 5th, Amazon customers will get free shipping with no minimum purchase on orders that will arrive in time for Christmas. This applies to the countless items that are available on Amazon.

The company normally requires customers to purchase goods of at least $25 in order to be eligible for free standard shipping which guarantees delivery in five to eight days. Amazon hasn’t said precisely when this limited time offer will end but it’s safe to say that it will be available to customers throughout the holiday season.

Those who subscribe to Amazon Prime can shop with free same-day delivery that’s now available on over three million items. Prime members in more than 60 cities across the country can get deliveries in as little as an hour from Whole Foods Market through Prime Now.
