Amazon has been expanding its brick-and-mortar presence recently through physical bookstores and cashier-less grocery stores. The company has also been opening 4-star stores which sell a mix of its own hardware and other items that are popular on Amazon. It has now opened a new 4-star store in Berkeley, it’s the first 4-star location in California.

This is the third 4-star store that Amazon has launched in two months. Customers will be able to purchase a variety of Amazon hardware such as Echo speakers and Fire tablets. The store will also sell items that are popular on Amazon with an at least 4-star or above customer rating.

This Berkeley store was set up rather quietly but Amazon has now said that the location at 1787 Fourth Street is open to the public from today. The company launched a 4-star location in Colorado just days before opening the latest one in Berkeley.

This goes to show that Amazon is serious about expanding its offline presence even though its the online marketplace will remain the go-to resource for people looking to buy something online. These stores will be helpful for customers who want a product with a high customer service rating but don’t want to wait for two days for it to arrive. They can just pop over to one of these 4-star stores and purchase it immediately.
