Mozilla is rolling out a new update for Firefox Focus, its privacy-focused mobile browser. It brings improved tracking protection for users. Those who are using the browser on Android will now be able to individually decide which publishers they want to share data with. The browser will also warn them why they access risky content.

Mozilla recently introduced Enhanced Tracking Protection on Firefox for Desktop. It offers users with more choices to fine tune their privacy online. Firefox Focus users will be able to decide if they want to block all cookies on a website, no cookies at all, third-party cookies or only those third-party tracking cookies that are defined by Disconnect’s Tracking Protection List.

This is a new option for the mobile browser which will help prevent cross-site tracking. Users will be able to add websites to the new “allowlist” in Firefox Focus. It unblocks cookies and trackers for the current page visit. As soon as users navigate to another website, the setting resets. There’s a new feature for iOS users as well.

Firefox Focus now offers search suggestions. It was released for the Android version in October. The feature can be activated from the Settings menu inside the app. The updated Firefox Focus is now available for download via the App Store and the Google Play Store.
