LG G7 Users Are Reportedly Running Into Bootloop Issues

Bootloops are a nasty piece of business where it basically results in your phone rebooting endlessly and never letting you get past the boot screen, essentially rendering the handset unusable. Unfortunately for some LG G7 users, it seems that they are reporting that their phones are now facing bootloop problems.

According to several posts made on Reddit and XDA, more than a handful of users are reporting that their phones have suddenly gotten stuck in a bootloop. The good news is that according to the feedback some have posted, after making a call to LG, they were told that they would be sent a replacement device.

It does seem a bit inconvenient but at the very least users get to replace their faulty handsets. However if this sounds familiar, it is because it is not the first time that LG’s phones have run into this problem. Several years ago, Nexus 5X users (the phone was made by LG) also encountered bootloop problems.

LG ultimately refunded customers who were affected by it, but it certainly doesn’t seem to help with the company’s overall image and reputation. Besides exchanging affected handsets for a new one, it is unclear what else LG is planning to do, and if a software update will help prevent this from happening to other LG G7 users.
