In theory and in practice, delivery drivers are meant to handle our packages with care, especially since it’s almost impossible to know what’s in them, handling them with care means that it ensures that the contents don’t get damaged in the last leg of the journey. Unfortunately that isn’t always the case.

In fact it seems that Amazon might have handed a customer proof of their package being mishandled. In a post on Reddit by user CaptainCanadian9 (via Mashable), it shows a photo of the customer’s package being tossed onto their doorstep. For those unfamiliar why the photo was taken, this is part of Amazon’s program rolled out early last year in which the photos are taken to show proof of delivery, so that customers can’t claim that they never received it.

Unfortunately for this particular customer, the photo shows their package being delivered to their front door, albeit being tossed. Thankfully in this particular case, the items were not damaged according to the poster, but at the same time it doesn’t really inspire much confidence in the delivery services used by Amazon.

In fact as pointed out by Mashable, there exists an entire subreddit devoted to delivery drivers tossing packages, which you can take a look at if you’re curious. We’re not sure what can be done about this, but with this particular post going viral, hopefully Amazon will start to look into better practices.

Big shout out to Amazon for taking a pic of my package delivery mid throw from funny
