We know that many gamers are very excited to get their hands on Mortal Kombat 11 which was recently announced in detail. In fact there is a beta that kicks off on the 28th of March where you get to try the game before deciding if it is for you. Unfortunately it seems that not everyone will be able to get in on it.

In an FAQ on the Mortal Kombat website, it has been confirmed that the game’s beta will not be available for Nintendo Switch or PC gamers. Instead the beta seems to be exclusive to the PS4 and the Xbox One. There is no explanation or reason given as to why the Switch and PC were passed over for the beta, but if you want to check out the game before it is released, you’ll have to find a friend who pre-ordered the game on the PS4 or Xbox One.

Note that the beta is only available for those who pre-order the game which means that you’ll need to put down money before you can actually try it. According to the developers, “The Mortal Kombat 11 beta will allow players who pre-order to access an early sample of Mortal Kombat 11 before the game launches. The beta for Mortal Kombat 11 will only be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One and Xbox One X.”

So far based on the trailers we’ve seen, the game looks very promising. It does feel like more of the same, but then again “same” is what Mortal Kombat players are here for anyway. The game is currently set for a release on the 23rd of April where it will be playable on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
