Verizon quietly launched a started called Visible last year. It initially operated on a model which required users to bring their own device to the network. So users would have to take their own iPhone and Visible would send them a new SIM card. That requirement is now being set aside as Visible has started selling iPhones directly.

Visible announced today that it has teamed up with Apple and Affirm to sell iPhones with 0 percent APR financing. The carrier has been iOS-only ever since it was launched but that’s not going to be the case in the future. Visible has also announced that it’s beta testing Android compatibility and those willing to give it a try and purchase the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ from it.

Visible works in a way that most MVNOs do. It doesn’t have its network and relies on Verizon’s nationwide 4G wireless network. However, the company does say that it operates as an independent startup. It charges customers $40 per month for unlimited data, text, voice, and hotspot usage with speeds of up to 5 Mbps.

The startup is currently selling 11 iPhone models directly in addition to the two Galaxy models mentioned above. Customers can choose to pay the full price upfront or get them on financing from Affirm.
