MWC 2019 will be kicking off next week, but it seems that several companies are opting to announce their phones ahead of the event. One of those companies is Vivo who has recently taken the wraps off their latest smartphone in the form of the Vivo V15 Pro, a phone which has done away with the notch in favor of a popup selfie camera.

Starting with the display of the phone, we’re looking at a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display, and without the notch, Vivo is boasting that the phone has a screen to body ratio of 91.64%. Given that Vivo was one of the first few companies to adopt an in-display sensor back in 2018, it’s not surprising that the V15 Pro is also using an in-display fingerprint sensor.

However the V15 Pro is not a high-end device as it appears to be powered by the Snapdragon 675 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 855, but it should still be more than capable of getting the job done and then some. It will also be offered in 6GB or 8GB RAM configurations with up to 128GB of onboard storage.

However despite it being a mid-range handset, it will be packing a triple camera setup, will come with a 3,700mAh battery and support for what the company calls “Dual Engine” fast charging. The Vivo V15 Pro is expected to launch first in India where it will be priced around $400, but it is expected to eventually make its way to other markets.
