For most of us, flying to our destinations isn’t always the most enjoyable experience. There is turbulence, food that doesn’t always taste great, inconsiderate seatmates, and so on. However, it seems that a bunch of folks who took a Southwest Airlines flight just got the surprise of their life when Nintendo gifted each and everyone of them a free Switch console.

In addition to the free console, Nintendo also gave them a copy of Super Mario Maker 2, giving passengers a ton of things to do while they flew to their destination. Southwest Airlines has since confirmed the giveaway as being authentic as part of a partnership with Nintendo for the promotion.

It is unclear how this particular flight was chosen and if there are plans to do it again, but either way, it seems like these group of passengers sure got lucky! That being said, this isn’t the first time both companies have collaborated with each other. Previously, they had also given away Wii U consoles with the original Super Mario Maker.

In recent news, Nintendo announced a couple of new consoles in the form of the Switch Lite, a smaller and more portable version of the Switch, and also an upgraded version of the Switch with an improved battery life.
