The usual document checks before you board your flight can quickly result into a long line being formed. Nobody lines likes at the airport and frequent fliers on United Airlines will now be happy to know that the airline has teamed up with Clear to offer biometric security clearance to its passengers. Other airlines like Delta and British Airways have already been using biometric security to speed things up at the airport.

With this partnership, U.S.-based MileagePlus members of United will be able to get free or discounted Clear membership. This facility will initially be available at United’s hubs at Newark Liberty International Airport and Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport starting this summer.

Clear and United are now offering free membership for Global Services and Premier 1K members. Premier Platinum, Gold, and Silver members in addition to most United credit card members will get a discounted membership for $109 per year.

This facility will reduce the overall amount of time that passengers spend at the airport security check point. It automates the document check portion of the TSA process by requiring members to verify their identity using biometric information such as a tap of their finger or a blink of an eye in dedicated lanes.
