With the launch of Valve’s Steam Box, Valve also took the wraps off the Steam Controller. This is a unique piece of technology where it allowed gamers to play all manner of PC games using the controller, where its design makes it different from regular gamepads. However, Valve ultimately decided to end the production of said Steam Controller.

The good news is that if you have been meaning to get your hands on it, Valve appears to be trying to clear the last of its inventory where the Steam Controller is now priced at $5. We should note that this is the last ever run which means that once the stock is out, Valve will not be replenishing it which means that you’ll never be able to get your hands on another one.

There are plenty still being sold elsewhere but there is a very, very good chance that they will not be sold at $5, neither will they be in the same pristine condition that Valve is selling them at right now. It is a bit of a pity to see the controller go, given its unique nature and design, but if you love collecting bits of tech history or if you’re just after another controller, now is a good time as any to do so, and you’ll want to move quickly too.
