Apple Continues To Sell 21.5-inch And 27-inch Intel iMacs Alongside 24-inch M1 iMac

Apple recently unveiled their brand new 24-inch M1 powered iMac. However, for those who might not fancy the design, or still prefer to use Intel, or prefer a larger model, you might be interested to learn that Apple is still selling both the Intel powered 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMacs alongside the new 24-inch model.

This can be found on Apple’s website where both models are being offered. However, in the case of the 21.5-inch model, Apple has pretty much removed all the configurations of the computer. Instead, customers will only be able to choose the model with the 7th-gen 2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor.

There is no option to upgrade the processor, but can choose to upgrade the RAM and storage of the computer. As for the 27-inch model, there will be three different configurations to choose from, but they will all be powered by the 10th-gen Intel Core processors. We’re not sure why Apple did not refresh the 27-inch iMac, but we speculated that perhaps Apple is waiting to release a more powerful Apple Silicon with better graphics before refreshing the 27-inch model.

As it stands, the M1 chipset is being used by the base models of Apple’s Mac computers, which includes the MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini, while their more powerful counterparts like the 16-inch MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, and 27-inch iMacs have yet to receive the Apple Silicon treatment.
