As many of you have heard by now, not too long ago Google released the beta for Android 12 where for those who might be interested, it is available for download, although maybe not to be used as your daily driver. We know that some people love to join betas to get an early look at what’s to come, but it seems that Android 12 has piqued the interest of many.

This is according to Davey Burke, VP of Engineering for Android at Google, where he claims that the beta for Android 12 is the most downloaded and installed beta in Android history. Given how many millions upon millions of people use Android, this is actually rather impressive that many people are interested in the beta, which hopefully bodes well for adoption upon its final release.

We can’t say for sure what it is about Android 12 that has managed to attract more users than before. Sure, it comes with changes to the design language, which Google is calling Material You. There are also a bunch of new features as expected of a major update. Either way, it’s an awesome milestone for Google to reach and hopefully we continue to see major breakthroughs like this in the future.

In the meantime, Burke has also pointed out that beta 2 is now available for download so if you don’t want to wait for Android’s 12 final release, then download beta 2 to get a sneak peek at some of the changes you can look forward to in the future.
