IATA Travel Pass App Will Help You Prove That You’ve Been Vaccinated

As the world is slowly getting vaccinated, there is now the question of whether it would be safe to travel, and if people still need to quarantine upon arrival. The good news is that if you’ve been vaccinated, you will be able to show proof of it and might be able to skip the whole quarantine situation.

This is thanks to the upcoming launch of the IATA Travel Pass app that is expected to go live in the coming weeks. For those unfamiliar, the IATA is a trade association that represents almost all the airline companies around the world. By launching the Travel Pass app, they are hoping that they will be able to standardize how proof of vaccine is shown so that it doesn’t matter which country you go to, everyone will be able to recognize the app and its format.

The app will allow users to import test results from government recognized labs, so in addition to being able to show that you’ve already been vaccinated, you will also be able to show your recent COVID-19 test results. At the moment, the app is still in the testing phase with about 60,000 enrolled in its beta, but so far feedback has been largely positive and the organization is hoping to go live in a couple of weeks.
