OnePlus has expanded its smartphone lineup with a strong emphasis on battery capacity, display performance, and gaming-oriented hardware with the official launch of the OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V in China. The two models have a number of essential characteristics in common, chief among them being their massive 9,000 mAh batteries, the largest ever found in OnePlus smartphones. The 80 W SuperVOOC fast charging method is used for charging, and 27 W reverse charging is supported.

Both gadgets have 6.78-inch AMOLED screens with 1.5K resolution and sophisticated PWM and DC dimming for better eye comfort. The primary difference is in refresh rates: the Turbo 6V uses a slightly lower 144 Hz refresh rate, while the OnePlus Turbo 6 has a 165 Hz panel. Especially for gaming and fast-scrolling content, these high-refresh displays are made to produce fluid visuals.

The two models differ even more in terms of performance hardware. With the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset at its core, the OnePlus Turbo 6 can be outfitted with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It offers hardware and software optimizations for well-known mobile games, allowing supported titles to run at up to 165 frames per second. Additionally, there is a special “Windspeed Edition” chip that was created in collaboration with Qualcomm, which OnePlus says increases overall process efficiency, lowers kernel load, and improves gaming energy efficiency.

A Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, 8 or 12 GB of RAM, and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage are all included in the less expensive OnePlus Turbo 6V. It still aims for strong mid-range performance despite being less potent.

The cameras on both smartphones have the same configuration: a 16 MP front-facing camera, a 50 MP primary sensor, and a 2 MP monochrome sensor to help with low-light photography.
