During MWC 2026, Lenovo introduced the ThinkTab X11, a ruggedized Android tablet specifically engineered for professional and industrial environments. Targeted at sectors such as manufacturing, construction, and energy, the device is built to serve as a reliable tool for frontline workers.

Specialized Design and Durability

While the ThinkTab X11 is thicker and heavier than standard consumer models, its design remains relatively conventional rather than overtly rugged. However, it is built to high durability standards, featuring MIL-STD-810H and IP68 ratings. These certifications verify that the tablet can withstand short drops and submersion in water. For increased functionality in the field, the display is optimized to support input from gloved hands and remains responsive when wet.

Unique Power Features

A standout feature of the ThinkTab X11 is its removable battery and removable rear panel. This hardware configuration allows the device to utilize passthrough power, enabling it to operate via a direct power connection without relying on the battery. This capability is designed to prevent battery degradation during long shifts or stationary use.

Hardware and Availability

The tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. While this processor is not the most powerful in Lenovo’s new lineup, it is intended to provide consistent performance for industrial applications.

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is scheduled for release during the second quarter of 2026. It will have a starting price of $499 USD.
