Las Vegas, NVAwesome Lab (CEO Martin Kim), a Korean startup specializing in next-generation electric hot water and heating technologies, unveiled its flagship solution, Thermoflux, at CES 2026, held from January 6 to 9 in Las Vegas. During the exhibition, Thermoflux attracted strong interest from global IT experts and international media and was recognized with the Gadgety Award, underscoring its innovation and real-world impact.

Founded on electrolysis-ionization heat-generation technology, Awesome Lab has focused on developing all-electric alternatives to conventional hot water and heating systems. Since commercializing its core technology in 2022, the company has secured domestic and international patents and certifications while expanding consumer awareness through its B2C brand, WATERWARMER. Building on this momentum, Awesome Lab validated overseas demand by achieving 5,100 percent of its funding target through a crowdfunding campaign in Japan and has since expanded deployments across commercial and residential facilities, smart farms, smart cities, and manufacturing sites.

At CES 2026, Awesome Lab highlighted Thermoflux as a next-generation heat-source system that generates heat directly from water through ionization reactions during electrical activation. By eliminating separate heaters and combustion processes, Thermoflux differs fundamentally from conventional electric boilers that rely on indirect heat transfer. The system enables simultaneous heat generation and fluid circulation, reducing heat loss while improving heat-transfer efficiency. According to the company, under equivalent output conditions, Thermoflux consumes 20 to 30 percent less power than conventional electric heating systems while delivering faster response and stable, continuous operation.

Awesome Lab further explained that Thermoflux achieves heating speeds up to twice as fast as typical electric boilers and delivers carbon-emission reductions of approximately 25-80%, depending on the application and energy mix. Its modular architecture reduces installation space by up to 30 percent and improves both installation and maintenance efficiency. In addition, proprietary electrode design and current-control technologies precisely suppress overheating, thereby structurally reducing safety risks, such as fire hazards, commonly associated with high-temperature heaters or gas-combustion equipment.

During the exhibition, Thermoflux was presented not only as a solution for domestic hot water and space heating but also as a scalable heat-source technology for industrial environments requiring continuous heat supply. As a fully electric, non-combustion system, it drew attention as a practical alternative amid tightening global regulations on gas boilers and accelerating decarbonization policies worldwide.

Awesome Lab’s presence at CES 2026 was further strengthened by its receipt of the Gadgety Award, an independent global technology honor judged by editors-in-chief and founders from four international tech media outlets—Geekspin, Ubergizmo, Isa Does Tech, and Phandroid. Unlike the CES Innovation Awards organized by the Consumer Technology Association, the Gadgety Award places greater emphasis on real-world usability, performance, and market impact. At CES 2026, the award recognized a select group of companies, including major global brands and high-growth startups demonstrating tangible commercial potential.

An Awesome Lab representative said that CES 2026 provided a meaningful opportunity to validate global interest in Thermoflux by presenting objective performance data on heating response, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction through direct comparisons with existing boiler systems. The representative added that, through the global networks formed at CES, the company aims to solidify overseas pilot projects, accelerate commercialization, and open new international sales channels. With proof-of-concept projects already completed in Japan, the United States, and Mongolia, Awesome Lab views the outlook for new customers and strategic partners very positively.
