The folks over at Motorola do seem to be keeping themselves busy as they work on a rollout of new smartphones, where among them would be the third generation Moto G handset, as well as a possible device that is known as the Moto X Sport. Well, it look like this is not all, since HelloMotoHK has put up on their Facebook page of a new “Droid”, and under this […]
Verizon has long carried the Droid lineup which contains some of the best selling smartphones on Big Red. If latest reports are to be believed then it appears that Verizon and Motorola are joining forces yet again to bring another Droid device to the market. This particular smartphone will reportedly be released next month and one of its main features would be rapid charging.
Ah, soak tests, don’t you just love being invited to some of those? Motorola has started to test upcoming software updates by carrying out a soak test. The installation process of the software is limited to just a tiny number of units, and even then, it is by invitation only. This is not due to a discriminatory process, but rather, Motorola most probably wants to limit the number of handsets […]
July 23rd can be said to be quite a happening date – as shipping for the AT&T Nokia Lumia 1020 as well as Apple’s third quarter earnings call are happening then. However, do not discount what Verizon could possibly do on that day as well, as it seems that the Big Red will hold a press event this July 23 too, where they are touted to announce what is possibly […]
The first two Motorola Droid RAZR handsets from Verizon will soon be on the receiving end of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system update, and they are the RAZR XT912 that rolled out all the way back in November 2011, and the RAZR MAXX that was introduced to the world in January last year. Motorola claims that both the Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX will be receiving the Android […]
HTC, who released the very-well liked HTC One X as their highest-end (“hero”) handset earlier this year, have now released the Droid DNA to be their standard-bearer through the holiday season. Yep, that’s right: this is the phone that you’re going to be blitzed with advertisements about for the next few months. And on paper, the Droid DNA is certainly worthy–it’s got a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and most importantly, a […]
So Verizon’s new top-end phone is out, and one thing’s for sure–this guy is a brick. It’s large enough to give the Galaxy Note II a run for its money as king of the phablet hill. What’s nice is that HTC has continued to use the soft-touch back we first saw on the 8X, which certainly gives the phone a premium feel. Also nice is the red speaker grilles on […]
HTC has officially announced the long-rumored Droid DNA, the newest superphone to hit Verizon for the holiday season. The phablet-size Galaxy Note competitor was known as the HTC DLX (pronounced “deluxe”) and it will boast a 5″ 1080p display that we spotted at CEATEC a a little while back. The display is not only the only 1080p display on a smartphone, but at 441ppi, it has a higher pixel density […]
A user who prefers to be known by his online handle “djrbliss” says that he has managed to discover a working root method that will affect the latest smartphones from Motorola – namely the DROID RAZR M, DROID RAZR HD, DROID RAZR MAXX HD, and the Atrix HD. There were whispers going on that this particular root method will not only work just fine with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich […]
The Motorola Droid RAZR M was just made available to the public, so it’s time for a review. We have played with the device since its official launch in New York last week. The overall idea of this device is to provide a compact form factor, and a relatively “large” screen (4.3″) at the same time. Of course such as size isn’t that big these days as it is possible […]
We’ve just covered the Motorola launch event live on Ubergizmo, but now we’ve had some “hands-on” time with all three phones, including the Motorola RAZR Maxx HD, which will be the most exciting of all for the “enthusiast” category of users. Why? Simply because it’s an even better version of the previous RAZR Maxx but it keeps the 3300mAh battery which is the most important family trait of all.
If there was a phone from Motorola with plenty of heart, I guess you can say that the Motorola Droid would be it. After all, this is the first Android-powered smartphone from Motorola which helped lift the company’s mobile division out of the doldrums, offering a ray of hope in the process due to the number of sales recorded. It was solid overall, although I would have liked to see […]
The Motorola Droid 4 has been out for a couple of months over at Verizon Wireless already, happily surfing along the carrier’s 4G LTE network since then, and it is set to receive the first update since then. This update will obviously introduce changes to the Motorola Droid 4 for the better, where the main culprit of poor battery life has been fixed, in addition to the keyboard’s backlight being […]
The Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx has been introduced to address the single most important issue that prospect 4G LTE users are facing: battery life. Of course, this is not a new challenge, and the original RAZR 4G LTE Android smartphone already had software features that made it battery-efficient. The most important of them is Smart Actions, a set of automated rules that can automatically turn the cellular broadband OFF whenever […]
