PS4 Remote Play Confirmed For Sony Xperia Z3 Smartphones
On the eve of IFA 2014 in Berlin today Sony unveiled two new smartphones that we have already seen and heard a lot about. Today the Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact were formally announced. They feature respectable specifications in sturdy build with Sony’s signature dustproof and waterproof certifications. There’s something unique about them as well. Both smartphones are the first to have support for PS4 Remote Play.

Sony Xperia E3
While many had assumed the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact would be Sony’s affordable handset, it looks like Sony has another handset that could fill that spot – the Sony Xperia E3. Unlike the Xperia Z3 Compact, which packs quite a punch under the hood save for its display, the Xperia E3 will come with slightly more modest specs.

Sony QX1 Interchangeable Lens Mobile Camera
At IFA 2014, Sony is launching a couple of new mobile cameras called “lens-style camera” and the Sony QX1 ($399) is the high-end one. It features an astonishing 20.1 Megapixel APS-C sensor (the same size sensor as used in many big DSLR cameras) which is linked to a Sony BIONZ X image processor which will decode, process and enhance the images in real-time.

The QX30 ($349) is Sony’s second lens-style camera to be released at IFA. Its design is closer to the original QX series in the sense that its lens is not interchangeable, but Sony has added what many users have been demanding: a powerful zoom capability, along with 60FPS 1080p movie recording.

As expected of Sony and the rumors, the company has recently announced the Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact Android smartphones. The former will be Sony’s second flagship smartphone for 2014, while the latter will be a slightly smaller model, ideal for those who figure that smartphones these days are getting a bit too big to be useful.
