Speakers are something that is meant to be heard rather than be looked at, although there are some out there who want their speakers to not only sound good, but look good as well, which might explain why companies such as Bose and Bang & Olufsen pride themselves in their technology as well as their design. However if you really wanted something different, then perhaps a company called ASWY which is […]

At IFA, Lenovo was presenting the new Thinkpad Helix, a 2-in-1 detachable PC designed primarily for the enterprise. It has a 11.6” display and weighs about 1.8lbs. Its design makes it usable as a pure tablet (detached), or as a laptop. Lenovo points out that it can also be placed in Tent, Stand and Desktop modes (using a different keyboard).
The 13.3” Laptops are often seen as being the “sweet spot” in terms of size, power and weight, but there are cases where a 15” display remains much more comfortable to use. Desktop replacements can be on those, or designers and programmers could use the extra screen size to make their life better. That’s precisely why Lenovo has the Flex 2 also known as Edge 15 in North America.
Lenovo did not invent the table computer, but it’s got to be the company to make the genre a real consumer product. The Horizon 2S is a new iteration of the Horizon line of product being presented at IFA. Thinner and lighter, the Horizon 2S is only 0.59-inch thick and weighs 5.5lbs, which is pretty damn light for a 19.5” computer (I think that my old MacBook Pro 15 laptop […]

Tablets come in a variety of sizes, and save for a few, most tablets tend to be a tad fragile which is why some tablet cases tend to be a bit more rugged than the rest. As we have mentioned in the past, soundbars are great if you’re looking to slot your speakers underneath your TV. This could simply be due to design preference or if you are tight on space and don’t have any room for more traditional tower speakers. Unfortunately soundbars are a bit limiting in terms of their sound since they tend to project in one direction.Well the good news is that if […]
It does look as though the world is getting more and more self absorbed these days, what with the selfie phenomenon having taken over the masses. Having said that, we have even seen “selfie phones” that were released in recent times, such as the Sony Xperia C3, and Nokia does not look as though they want to miss out on the bandwagon either with the official announcement of the Nokia […]

While Intel-powered Android smartphones are few and far in between, the same cannot be said for tablets because if you are looking for a new Android tablet, ASUS has recently announced the MeMO Pad 7 ME57c. Samsung has announced yet another smartwatch and its called the Gear S. However there’s a major difference between this wearable device and almost all of its rivals. Having a standalone wireless connection means that the Gear S can be used to send text messages and make or receive phone calls without having to pair a compatible smartphone. Texting isn’t possible without a keyboard, and voice recognition doesn’t work perfectly with […]
On the eve of IFA 2014 in Berlin today Sony unveiled two new smartphones that we have already seen and heard a lot about. Today the Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact were formally announced. They feature respectable specifications in sturdy build with Sony’s signature dustproof and waterproof certifications. There’s something unique about them as well. Both smartphones are the first to have support for PS4 Remote Play.
While many had assumed the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact would be Sony’s affordable handset, it looks like Sony has another handset that could fill that spot – the Sony Xperia E3. Unlike the Xperia Z3 Compact, which packs quite a punch under the hood save for its display, the Xperia E3 will come with slightly more modest specs.
