Tesla fans have been waiting to see a new vehicle from the company and their wish will be granted in just under a couple of weeks. CEO Elon Musk has confirmed that the company is going to show off its Model Y crossover SUV on March 14th. The vehicle will be unveiled at Tesla’s design studio in Los Angeles.
Tesla has been talking about its Model Y electric SUV for quite some time now. It has been teasing the vehicle since 2015 by providing bits and pieces of information, but never the full picture. We’re still far from that but the company has revealed that it will begin volume production of this vehicle by the end of 2020.
Tesla recently released its much-awaited mass-market electric car, the Model 3. This the first car from the company that the average customer can actually buy given that prices for the Model 3 start at $35,000. The company previously confirmed that it has another crossover in the pipeline called the Model Y. Tesla has now said that it’s working hard to launch the Model Y earlier than previously planned.
Tesla has gradually built up its car lineup over the years. We’ve since seen the company introduce a proper sedan, the Model S, and the Model X crossover. As the company gears up to start producing its first mass-market electric car, the Model 3, it’s also going to reveal some Model Y details in the coming week. This has been confirmed by none other than Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
It was just last week that the Tesla Model X was officially launched. However it looks like that’s not all the company has up their sleeves. In fact it would seem that Tesla could very well be working on another car called the Model Y.
