tesla_model_x_5It was just last week that the Tesla Model X was officially launched. However it looks like that’s not all the company has up their sleeves. In fact it would seem that Tesla could very well be working on another car called the Model Y. This is based on a tweet by Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk which has since been deleted.

According to the already-deleted tweet, it read “there will be a Model 3 and a Model Y. One of the two will.” Just for a bit of context, the tweet was in response to one fan asking Musk if the Model 3 will have the falcon-wing doors like the Model X, to which Musk teased that the car may or may not have it, and that maybe that feature could be for the Model Y.

Unfortunately apart from a name, which has already been trademarked, not much is known about the Model Y. We can only assume that the deletion of the tweet means that Musk probably misspoke and might have announced the car a bit earlier than Tesla would have intended. Either that or it was a purposeful tweet meant to tease us.

Either way we suppose right now we have no choice but to wait and see what kind of car the Tesla Model Y could end up being, but in the meantime any speculation on what it could be?
