11/09/2011, With Nokia putting all of their proverbial eggs into the Windows Phone basket, you would think that they’d be eager to get their handsets out to as many people as possible. Oddly enough they chose to do a European launch first, followed by a US launch next year, but now it seems that even in Europe, not everyone will be able to get their hands on the device.
11/01/2011, It has been confirmed that the Nokia Lumia 800 will be released in the UK come 16th of October, which coincidentally is the day before Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Nexus in the UK. This should prove to be interesting to see which phone will be making a bigger splash, although with the Nokia Lumia 800 being Nokia’s first Windows Phone device, they probably have a lot more […]
10/28/2011, Things are going to heat up in the music streaming scene in the UK, and Spotify had best look up and prepare themselves with word that Pure Music is ready to make a foray into that part of the world. More choice for consumers would mean more power – and service providers who used to take their customers and subscribers for granted would do well to watch their backs! Pure […]
10/25/2011, A man in the UK named Trevor Prideaux who spent his life working with the aid of a prosthetic left forearm recently found a way to make it more useful: by building a smartphone dock into it. While the dock won’t give the phone HDMI output, laptop capabilities or even charge the phone – it does hold the smartphone in place, which makes it easier for a man like him […]
10/25/2011, Oops, it looks like Amazon UK may have let slip details of an upcoming set of Logitech speakers even before the company has gone ahead and made an official announcement. The page has since been taken down (feel free to try and access the page), probably thanks to all the buzz surrounding the purported leak which alerted Amazon UK to that little slip up.
10/25/2011, For those living in the UK and who may have purchased a Jaguar X-Type, if you did not already receive a letter from the company, you should probably be aware that the company has been busy recalling about 17,600 vehicles in the UK. This is apparently due to the cruise control software that affects X-Type models from 2006 to 2010 with diesel engines.
10/24/2011, A few days ago, press shots of Nokia’s upcoming Windows Phone device, the Nokia 800, started showing up. Now it looks like teaser videos of the handset have started airing in the UK which were aired 1 second at a time, truly a teaser indeed. All that’s left now is for an official announcement by Nokia, which is expect to take place during the Nokia World event held in London […]

10/17/2011, There’s an increasing trend to start producing gadgets that are getting thinner and thinner with each generation. Heck, Motorola is set to unveil the Droid RAZR, which based on the legacy of the RAZR feature phone, will most probably end up being one of the thinnest smartphones to date. But how much smaller/thinner could be make our devices? Well if the scientists at Northwestern University manage to commercialize their new […]
10/11/2011, With the iPhone 4S hitting over 1 million pre-orders on its first day, and shattering the iPhone 4’s record of 600,000, it is looking like the iPhone 4S is turning out to be quite the popular device after all, despite the lukewarm reception that it received when it was first announced. Despite the popularity evidenced by its pre-order sales, Vodafone in the UK has decided to help its popularity along […]
10/10/2011, If Apple’s iPod touch doesn’t do it for you, how about getting your hands on an Android equivalent? You may remember Samsung’s Galaxy WiFi, which is basically Samsung’s answer to Apple’s iPod touch, and is essentially a media player that runs on Android.
10/07/2011, Heads up UK YouTube visitors, it looks like YouTube has finally started offering residents in the UK the same service it has offered to those in the US and Canada – movie rental. Released back in May for those in the US, and only just last month in Canada, those living in the UK will have access to about 1,000 movie titles.
10/07/2011, Uh-oh, it looks like the iPhone 4S has already been plagued by shipment delays, at least for international customers. While the hardware specs of the iPhone 4S didn’t exactly wow the crowd at Apple’s iPhone event, there are still loyal fans out there and users with the iPhone 3G or 3GS who will see the iPhone 4S as an upgrade. So much so that when the clock struck 12am on […]
10/06/2011, It is more or less a given that the US and UK are extremely tight allies ever since World War 2 ended, and when something rolls out in the US, it is often a matter of time before the same device makes an appearance across the pond. I guess the same can be said for software releases as well, where Google Books which has been a US exclusive ever since […]
