ZyXEL has a new VoIP phone in its line of VoIP products, and the P2000W V2 hopes to make inroads into this market but it unfortunately falls flat on its face in this attempt. The only good points would be standard ringtones and a thin design that makes it fit into pockets comfortably. The downside of the P2000W are numerous, and chief among them are the stiff keys and a lack of key edges, while the poor user interface takes some getting used to. In addition, the P2000W V2 is not compatible with a WPA-encrypted WiFi network which amounts to an unpardonable sin. Call quality is extremely poor, so give the the P2000W V2 a miss if you’re looking for a VoIP phone. Morespecs after the jump. • IEEE 802.11b support
