CES 2007 – Philips has lifted the curtain on the PET830 and PET1030 line of portable DVD players that come with 8.5″ and 10.2″ displays respectively. These portable entertainment devices are extremely light, making them ideal to carry around on your travels. Battery life is rated at 3 hours, so you might want to skip those extended edition DVDs and settle for shorter movies instead. Supported formats include WMA, MP3, VCD, and the all important DivX. The slot loading PET830 and PET1030 will be released sometime in Q1 2007 at $199 and $279 respectively. Unfortunately, only the PET830 was available for display. Check out the picture gallery for further details. Which would you prefer – larger screen size with a shorter battery life, or the iPod Video’s painfully small display?
